WRAL NEWS INTERN
Writing for the web, researching data, and creating and editing individual news packages for WRAL has been such an experience. Visit the link to see my work.

Online News Association Student Newsroom
In June 2023 I was accepted into the ONA Student Newsroom Cohort to cover their annual conference in August. I participated and published 4 articles over the course of 4 days with a team of amazing peers around me producing the same quality work. This was a great introduction to what real newsrooms look like based on demand and relevancy.

HBCU White House Student Journalists Press Briefing
A group of HBCU student journalists from across the country were invited to a press briefing with VP Kamala Harris and Keisha Lance Bottoms of Public Engagement. Myself and 40 others were able to ask the Vice President about the issues HBCU’s are facing and how we can overcome them as a nation.

2022-2023 Student Leader of the Year
In May 2023 I was awarded the highest award a student can receive at Shaw University. Upon achieving this, I was able to reflect on the relationships and accomplishments I had built over the years.

Short Film Director
From August 2023-November 2023, I have directed and provided continuity for 3 films in my Video Production class. Visit the link to view these films.

The Bear Cave Sports Report
September 2023- November 2023 I put together a Shaw University sports report on a radio segment the SU Mass Communication Department has with SiriusXM. I learned how to edit audio, write scripts, and interview sport players on their game and stats.

HBCU White House Scholar
In September 2022, I was selected as the White House HBCU Scholar for Shaw University. I spent a week in Washington D.C. learning about the economic development and educational issues that student leaders like myself can contribute and enhance .

Study Abroad
In Summer 2023, I studied International Business and Music Communications in London. I was a part of interactivity classroom setting that enabled my peers and I to travel to different cities, learn about different cultures, and embrace each other's differences.

HBCU Pride: History of Shaw University
In late March of 2023, A colleague and I was interviewed on CBS 17 to highlight the history of the historical building- Estey Hall at my university. The love I have for my university runs deep.

Entrepreneurship Certification at Miami University School of Business
In January 2023, I attended an HBCU Start Program for students progressing in entrepreneurship. I gained intricate knowledge in the everyday operations of a business, received a certificate in entrepreneurship, and placed third in the Business Pitch competition.

Community Engagement
In Summer 2023, I volunteered at Kids Across America. A summer camp designed to enhance children's abilities to build relationships, grow spiritually, and live purposefully. This is by far my favorite type of service. I love kids!

HBCU Queen- Miss 1865
Serving as Miss 1865 for the 2022-2023 Academic School year was such an experience. I had countless interactions with the community, other HBCU's, and leadership building.
